Description
A very large and impressive softneck artichoke named after the city of Piacenza, a city southeast of Milan in Northern Italy. This variety is very adaptable and grows in a variety of climates. Its tight coarse skins covering each clove makes for a long storage life of up to 6 months.
Blanco Piacenza is an excellent choice for braiding and is a reliable producer with high yields everywhere but the harshest winter areas. Produces a medium well-rounded flavor and heat.
Here at Arcade Acres we have been somewhat successful growing this type of garlic with our winters and with some luck it will be a great producer.
